Easy Thanksgiving Recipes
So It is the day after Thanksgiving and you already have Pizza on your mind! Instead of ordering out why not spice up your Thanksgiving leftovers. Sure the Turkey was good fresh out of the oven, but now it seems dull and bland.
Add some spice by making your own version of White Christmas Chili! you can let this cook all day in your crock pot while you are out Christmas Shopping! The ingredients are simple.
Shred some of the white meat of your Turkey ( you can use dark if you don’t mind the gamy taste)
- 2 cans of Chicken Broth
- 2 cans of great northern beans
- 1 small can of jalapeno peppers
- red Cayenne Pepper ( to taste)
- chili Pepper ( to taste)
- one cup or so of chopped onions
- one cup or so of chopped celery.
take one of your cans of Northern beans and mush it up. Put all ingredients in your crock pot , set it on low and let it go!
When you get home after a hard day of shopping put some in a bowl, top with shredded Cheddar cheese and use tortilla chips to dip. Awesome dinner!
Still want to spice up your turkey? use your Turkey like chicken and make your own version of turkey enchiladas!
Want something for that football game? Use the drier parts of the white Turkey to make a “Buffalo “Turkey” Dip”
take some shredded white turkey ( you can add canned chicken if you think it will be too gamy tasting)
- One bar of cream cheese
- a half cup of ranch dressing
- One half bottle of Franks red Hot sauce
- A couple of handfuls of cheddar cheese
- and one package of good seasoning dry mix.
Melt cream cheese in sauce pan. Mix in Turkey or chicken, then the sauce, ranch dressing, Good Seasons and cheese. Mix until blended. Put it in a casserole baking dish. Put in oven at 350 for 15 or twenty minutes. Top with cheddar cheese until it melts. Serve with tortilla chips.!
